great place
No smoking area makes it all the better. Smokers need to realize the world does not revolve around their cancerous, addicted lungs. And who wants to make out with someone that smells like an ashtray anyway? Seriously, do you smokers even have a clue about how bad it makes you smell?
Remark for Gordiam's review
Hello Gordiam ! I have some remarks for your review : "but there is no smoking area." - the law forbids it. "It seems they don't like foreigners" - you did not explain why you had this feeling. usually it is just the opposite, Hungarians appreciate foreigners (people from western countries) more than themselves, they think that those people make things better, they are more organised, quiter, nicer, etc. And usually Hungarians lick their ass :) That is why all Hungarians would like to emigrate. There was someone who told you that he hates you ? "...fun in dark places without even see one another.. pretty scary" - the "dark room" idea came from the west, i do not know why you are surprised :) In Paris also i know saunas which are clearer and darker. And why scarry ? Were you affraid of Hungarians ? London, Paris or New York are much wilder than Budapest... What i wanted to say is not that you have to love this place, it is just not logic what you wrote... :)
I didn't like it
the location is big, but there is no smoking area. It seems they don't like foreigners and they prefer to have fun in dark places without even see one another.. pretty scary.
Fun Times in Budapest
On our last day in Budapest, my partner and I decided to try this place out. We happened to be in that part of town at around 1pm (the time it opened), which we both thought was awfully early. We had an early morning flight, though, so it was then or never. We found the location (which was easy to find using the website as a guide) and were quickly buzzed in. For about $10 each, we got a locker, towel and slippers. When we first arrived, we were the only ones there. It's a decent-sized facility with glory hole compartments, some private rooms, a sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, and showers. There's also a lounge area where they sell water and other drinks. We weren't the only ones there for long. By about 1:30, there were a few other guys there, and by 2, there were quite a few others there. It was a pretty diverse crowd - ages from late 20s to 60s were probably represented (my partner and I are both around 40). The most action was in a large dark room, and in the steam room. By the time we left at around 5, there were probably 15 - 20 guys there (it's always a little hard to tell at these kinds of places). There was a group of muscular guys who did all seem to be friends and would basically just sit together and watch the action, but not participate in anything if any of the others were around. Most everyone else was there to play, though. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
